The residency program at the Autodesk Technology Centers in Boston, San Francisco, and Toronto provides open workspaces and equipment for teams from industry, academic and startup communities doing forward-looking work in the areas of construction, manufacturing, and emerging technologies.
A hub for research, development and demonstration of new manufacturing technologies, the technology center in San Francisco is also exploring processes relating to the concept of configurable microfactories.
A research and development workspace, the technology center in Boston is where startups, colleges and universities, and industry experts explore ways to advance the building industry.
Based out of the MaRS Discovery District, this center explores technologies to help us design and make in previously unimaginable ways. It is home to advanced research in areas such as machine learning, generative design, and artificial intelligence.
“As members of the Autodesk residency program, CW Keller and Associates research engineers have been able to advance field and shop strategies through supported access to bleeding-edge hardware and software solutions.”
— Noni Pittenger, CW Keller and Associates team member
Residency proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected participants are provided with dedicated project areas in a technology center, access to advanced fabrication machinery, training, and connections to industry experts and the technology center community. The program can be tailored to meet team goals and availability. Residencies can last anywhere from two weeks to a year or more.
